Global Energy Innovations (GEI) sells battery technology through a network of international distributors. GEI hired Solvatech to produce a Wordpress theme and corresponding Multi-site/Multi-language 45+ page website, with 15 Distributor Sub-sites. GEI provided a detailed specification for the main site, and a set of complicated site management requirements for the sub-sites. GEI wanted to control the main site content, provide distributors the ability to translate the sub-sites, and add their own branding and News Posting while maintaining control of the main-site content.This five-month project was on-schedule, despite the difficult technical requirements. Solvatech leveraged existing technologies available on Wordpress, and did extensive plug-in modifications to develop functionality not already available. When faced with the technical challenge of how to copy a large, complex, main multi-site down to a sub-site, Solvatech developed an elegant and repeatable solution for an extremely challenging problem, not yet solved by the Wordpress community. The sites look exactly as specified, the functionality is impressive, and Susan and Martin Fisher of Solvatech are great to work with.
